Screentendo Turns your Computer Screen into a Playable Mario Level

  Screentendo may be the answer for you if you're bored at work and want to procrastinate. This application lets you transform any website into a playable experience for the famous 1980s Nintendo classic Mario Bros. The creator has provided step-by step instructions for converting the pages into blocks. However it requires some programming skills. Mr. Randall states that the app is a proof of concept hack currently and still has some flaws Randall said that he built it due to his passion for building things, especially smaller projects like this. He said: 'It's an excellent excuse to study new frameworks and languages, and try to solve some intriguing issues that you might not normally work on. The idea came from a conversation I had with a colleague. He spends a lot of his time looking at graphs that track our servers and I joked that I would build an app that would overlay these graphs to make them more interesting. Mr Randall stated to MailOnline that he created the software 'over a few days'. He claimed that the most difficult part of the software was image processing. It was about making the application be able to recognize any type of image and the underlying structure in order to be able to generate a level. A couple of weeks later, we had a hackday at my office (where everyone works on whatever they like), and I came up with something that later evolved into Screentendo. He notes on his site that the application at the moment is very much an experimental hack which has a few issues. He stated that the phyiscs are slightly off.
